The Giuaani Wine Company traces its origins to the deep winemaking traditions of the Giuashvili family, nestled in the village of Manavi in the Kakheti region.
1800s
Wine Production Begins
The family has been producing wine since the 1800s, however it is impossible to determine the exact year it all began.
2010
The Company's Beginning
The wine company was officially founded in 2010 in the heart of Giuashvili district which is locally known as "Giuaant" district. That is why the winery was named GIUAANI.
2018
Wine Hospitality
In 2018, Giuaani opened their doors to visitors, offering an opportunity to experience wine tastings, Georgian cuisine at Kakhetian Restaurant and beautiful outdoor spaces.

Family Wine Legacy
A significant moment in 1894 marked the birth of a boy in the Giuashvili family. This joyous occasion led to adding new Qvevri vessels, signifying the start of a more organized winemaking legacy.

Our Location – Manavi
Giuaani Winery is located in the historic village of Manavi , the heartland of Georgian wine producing region Kakheti, in Georgia. The Manavi village, cradled by the southern slopes of the minor Caucasus, is a home for one out of the 29 PDOs (Protected Denomination of Origin) of Georgia. Its unique soil composition and microclimate provides perfect conditions for grapevine cultivation, especially for Kakhuri Mtsvane grape variety, and for the production of Manavi PDO white dry wines.
Georgia has 8000 years of continuous winemaking history, over 500 indigenous grape varieties and a big diversity of soils and microclimates. Our aim is to preserve the traditions while being open minded and receiving challenges of modern day winemaking. Therefore, we try to combine traditional and modern techniques, with the aim to create high quality, authentic wines with unique character.
Who we are
Giuaani is a family owned and operated winery and its history dates back to 1894, when the first Qvevris (clay vessels traditionally used for winemaking in Georgia) were planted and the family started to produce wine on a small scale. The name Giuaani is derived from the Giuashvili family surname.
As a company Giuaani was founded in 2014 and since then it has been producing premium wines on a larger scale with an approximate annual production of 400 000 bottles. Our wines are present both on the domestic and international markets.
Since 2022 Giuaani winery has been led by the youngest member of the family, Maria Giuashvili.
